Week one of fall semester is in the books (no pun intended) and I must say I feel great about the very real possibility of a solid semester academically. After spending time going through each course syllabus and attending class, I noticed that professors are fully committed to giving their best to the students, in hopes of combining their efforts with ours and achieving academic success together during a pandemic. In a mixture of math, business law, economics and history, I am able to get some idea of what my future career looks like. Understanding the human resource, specifically as individuals and how we interact with one another, and how it affects the day to day operations of a business. For the remainder of the semester, I will continue to learn how to be successful in my academic and personal endeavors. Stay tuned.

I certainly want to mention how my first week went as a student ambassador. It is sometimes difficult to separate the ambassador from the student but the different in responsibilities sometimes calls for it. I had my first welcome desk shift this past Tuesday and though the nerves were getting the best of such a confident individual as my self, I actually did a pretty decent job at greeting students, staff and faculty, answering any questions and guiding individuals to the right room and building. It honestly felt great to be back on campus; albeit socially distanced and with a mask on the entire team shift. I will do my part this semester so that I have more pleasant weeks like this first week. We have to remember that situations can and will go bad sometimes and learning how to respond properly is what defines you. I want to kindly rate this past week a solid 9.3 out of 10! Go bearcats! :)
