Hello folks! Welcome to my thrilling recap of week two of fall semester! I actually had a lot going on this week outside of the classroom that kept me alert and on my feet. I started a new job this past Monday at a Chase bank branch! After working at Meijer for seven years, I decided the time was right for a new opportunity and challenge. The experience I gained while at Meijer really has made me a better, more well-rounded individual. Working retail requires you to interact with and meet the needs and expectations of peoples of different cultures, customs and ethnicities. Beyond that, juggling several different responsibilities in your role and completing your assigned tasks is challenging. Your self-discipline will be tested every single day. I am confident that I can succeed in my new role at Chase. I strive to maintain my level of excellence everyday and the days that I fall short, I self-reflect and give it everything the next day. From learning the technicalities of the job, to building and maintaining long-lasting relationships with our customers and, equally as important, developing the same relationships with my peers and supervisors, I am in every way possible motivated to succeed.
